As you have learned, Men, the most vulnerable race, were the ones who were brought to rule Middle-Earth despite their weaknesses and corruptible nature. Taking into consideration this,
Why do you think Men were chosen to rule Middle-Earth? Do you think it would have been a better place if another race had ruled it? Would the events have turned different?

Research (20 points)
In the lesson we talked about Middle-Earth, but we didn’t really learn about its creation. In at least 200 words, please do a further research on this topic. Tell me about the mythology involved in the creation of Middle-Earth. Please cite all of your sources.

Art Project (30 points)
Choose any of the multiple inhabitants in Middle-Earth and make your own depiction of him/her. It can be a drawing, a graphic, a sculpture, a photograph, or any other mean of art that you can think of! Be creative! Please do not send your work as an attachment, submit it to an image hosting site like Photobucket, and then send me the link to your picture.
Creative Writing (30 points)
Good news or bad news? A tricky play of destiny wanted you to find the Ring of Power and now you are the owner. Write a story about you as the new Ring Bearer! How are you feeling? Are you excited or scared? Would you be tempted to use it? If yes, what would you use it for? These are just some ideas, you can write of anything else you can think of. At least 300 words for full marks.
Movie Magic (30 points)
Please watch New Line Cinema’s movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), and then choose 3 of your favorite scenes. Done? Now, please send me the three screen caps of your favorite scenes along with a brief explanation of why they are your favorite.
